Mriya Agro Holding, one of Ukraine’s largest agricultural producer has completed a deal to acquire in the company Farruka Limited with a 6.9 Th ha land bank in Western Ukraine. Mriya paid USD 19.981 Ml for a 100% stake, said the agro holding’s spokesman. According to the company’s financial report, available cash totaled USD 8.05 Ml on June 30, 2012 against USD 73.5 Ml on the same date last year. In addition, the company acquired USD 78.7 Ml worth of property in the first six months and made a prepayment of USD 94.3 Ml. The value of the agro holding’s assets grew to USD 1.249 Bl in H1 2012 from USD 1.052 Bl in 2011. Mriya Agro Holding increased H1 2012 net profit to USD 132.33 Ml from 122.8 Ml posted in H1 2011.
