Black Sea Wheat futures are still steady

On Oct 02, the price for Black Sea Wheat futures contract for December delivery didn’t change and amounted to USD 311.00. The price of December BSW contract is unchanged since December contract starts trading, i.e. during the last 21 sessions in a row.
In Sept 2012 the average daily volume of agricultural commodities traded on CME Group amounted to 1,084 ml contracts that is 1.82% less on year basis, but 4% higher on monthly basis. In 3Q 2012 volumes of agricultural commodities trading on CME Group increased by 14% in comparison with the same period last year and amounted to 1.171 ml contracts. It should be noted that agricultural commodities trading became the only kind of activity on CME which showed growth.
