Ukraine interested in cooperation with different economic unions - Yanukovych

Ukraine is primarily interested in increasing trade, and hence in cooperation with different economic associations, President Viktor Yanukovych said in Kyiv on Thursday, during a joint press conference with Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski.
"We are looking for different opportunities to improve our trade with various associations," Viktor Yanukovych said.
He noted that to date, Ukrainian trade with the EU and CIS is almost equal, that is approximately $60 billion with each side.
"Today, only economic integration is concerned. All the processes of economic integration that take place in the world are very interesting to us, including the Customs Union, as those countries account for more than 90% of the CIS trade turnover", Viktor Yanukovych said.
At the same time, he emphasized that Ukraine is also interested in integrating with such entities as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, ASEAN, BRICS, and thus it is looking for different possibilities of cooperation with them. Yanukovych also stressed that Ukraine is extremely interested in cooperation with the European Union.
