Russian investments in economy of Kazakhstan exceed $ 5 billion

The volume of Russian investments in the economy of Kazakhstan in the total years of cooperation exceeded $ 5 billion, Minister of Industry and New Technologies Aset Isekeshev said on Tuesday, September 18, at the Kazakh-Russian business forum "Development of cooperation in the field of innovation and industrial cooperation between the regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation" in Pavlodar.
The volume of Kazakh investments in Russia during this period reached more than $ 1.8 billion.
The Minister informed that the Kazakhstan-Russian trade and economic and investment relations is rapidly gaining momentum.
"The volume of bilateral trade in 2011 amounted to $ 23.8 billion," he added.
According to Isekeshev, Kazakhstan and Russia jointly implemented 18 projects and 16 more are in the process of implementation.
