Inflation rate in Kazakhstan is quite low, as it stays at 4.7%, Head of the National Bank Gregory Marchenko said this during a meeting with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbaev, the presidential press service reported.
According to the press service, Marchenko reported Kazakh President on the situation in the financial sector of the country, particularly in the banking sector and the foreign exchange market.
"The situation on the currency market and in banking sector remains stable. We have continued growth of the National Fund and the gold assets, their combined size is $85 billion," said the head of the National Bank.
Following the meeting, the President gave instructions on the development of proposals for further reform of the pension system and the use of financial institutions in the financing of projects in the framework of public-private partnership.
