Kazakhstan raises export duty on oil products. Government resolution on amending previous resolution dated by October 15, 2005, which is "On the export duties for crude oil and products produced from crude oil", was signed by the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
The new rate of duty on crude oil was unchanged and totaled $40 per ton. The rate of duty on light oils, as well as some medium and heavy oils became $168.88 per ton. For some heavy oils liquid fuels, bitumen and some gas oil - $112.59.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan is required to notify the Secretariat of the Integration Committee of the Eurasian Economic Community on the measures taken by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on regulating foreign trade in two weeks.
