Kazakhstan ships to export record amount of grain

Kazakhstan shipped to export a record 12.7 million tons of grain, including flour in grain equivalent, the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan announced.
"It is a record figure for the export of grain and products of its processing in 2011/2012 marketing year. According to the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan and JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Joly", 12.7 million tons of grain including flour in grain equivalent were shipped for export as of September 10, 2012, which is 2.5 times more than in 2010 - 2011 marketing year," reported in the Ministry of Agriculture.
In particular, the press service noted that in the form of grain shipped 8.9 million tons, in the form of flour - 2.6 million tons. The average amount of grain shipments for export (including flour in grain equivalent) totaled more than 1 million tons.
