Deficit of Ukraine's foreign trade in goods in July 25.3% up y-o-y, says statistics service

The deficit of Ukraine's foreign trade in goods in July 2012 was estimated at $1.437 billion, which was 25.3% up year-over-year, the State Statistics Service reported on Wednesday.
The export of goods in July 2012 alone was 7.5% up on July 2011, to $5.761 billion, while imports grew by 10.6%, to $7.198 billion.
According to the source, exports in July 2012 from June 2012 rose by 5.2%, while imports climbed by 3.3%.
The deficit of Ukraine's foreign trade in goods January through July 2012 expanded by 28.6%, or by $1.924 billion, to $8.659 billion. The export of goods grew by 3.3%, to $39.431 billion, while imports jumped by 7.1%, to $48.09 billion.
The ratio of coverage of imports by exports was 0.82, compared to the 0.85 registered in January-July 2011.
Ukraine traded with partners from 209 countries and regions, while year-over-year their number was 213.
