Ukraine. Land resources agency expects almost UAH 1.5bn in revenue from land auctions

UAH 1,442.97 billion is expected to get from the sale on land auctions of 517 plots with a total area of 3,500 hectares, UKRINFORM reported citing the State Agency for Land Resources.
"Today, in Ukraine 517 land plots with an estimated selling price of UAH 1,442,970 are prepared for sale on land auctions. Their total area reaches 3,515,920 hectares," the report says.
At the same time, in the first seven months of this year, revenues from land sales increased by UAH 240 million compared with the corresponding period in 2011. In particular, during this period UAH 644 million came from the sale of land plots and lease rights to them with a total area of 8,036 hectares. At the same time, for seven months of 2011, UAH 404.7 million received from the sale of 1,800 land plots with an area of 4,200 hectares.
The state and local budgets from the beginning of the year received UAH 609.8 million, including - the state budget UAH 60.7 million.
