Ukraine's Economic Development and Trade Minister Petro Poroshenko has said he sees no reason to expect a possible devaluation of the hryvnia.
"My position, on principle, is that the rate should correspond to the market, and there are no reasons to expect a sharp devaluation of the national currency today," he said at a briefing on Wednesday.
As reported, earlier Ukrainian Premier Mykola Azarov said that there is no reason for there to be a devaluation of the hryvnia. He added that Ukraine had placed bonds on the external market and raised $2 billion.
