Retail trade turnover 17.4% up - statistics

Retail trade turnover in Ukraine in January-July 2012 amounted to UAH 429.1 billion, which in comparable prices is 17.4% more than in January-July 2011, the State Statistics Service reported.
According to the report, the leaders in terms of retail turnover are: Kyiv (UAH 55.3 billion) and Donetsk region (UAH 42.1 billion). The lowest volume of retail trade turnover was observed in Sevastopol (UAH 4.8 billion) and Chernivtsi region (UAH 5.9 billion).
The highest retail trade turnover growth rate was recorded in Sevastopol (+19.7%), the lowest in Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy and Kyiv regions (+12.1%).
As UKRINFORM reported, retail trade turnover for the first six months of 2012 amounted to UAH 355.6 billion, which in comparable prices is 16% more than in January-June 2011.
