Belarus’ GDP up 2.8% in January-July

Belarus’ GDP reached Br264.8 trillion in January-July 2012, up 2.8% as against the same period in 2011, BelTA learnt from the National Statistics Committee.
The January-July industrial output went up 8.6% and reached Br370.3 trillion. Innovative products accounted for 17.1% of all innovative products shipped (the expected end-of-year target is 13.5%-14.5%).
The overall increase in agricultural output by all economic operators made up 12.3% in January-July 2012. The total output reached Br48.6 trillion. The agricultural organizations increased their output by 15.7%, which made up Br 43 trillion.
Capital investments amounted to Br73.1 trillion in H1 2012, or 82.3% as against the same period last year. Altogether 2,641,000 square meters of accommodation was put into service, which is 5.9% less as against the same period last year.
