Deflation in Ukraine comes to 0.2% in July, 0.1% since start of the year - State Statistics Service

Deflation in Ukraine slowed in July and came to 0.2% compared to deflation of 0.3% for June 2012, the country's State Statistics Service said in a statement.
The statement said that deflation in Ukraine has been posted for the third month this year. Deflation in May came to 0.3%.
Deflation since the start of the year came to 0.1% (compared to December 2011).
According to the Statistics Service, deflation compared to July 2011 came to 0.1%.
Prices for food and non-alcohol beverages went down in July by 0.5% in comparison with June.
Inflation in 2011 slowed to 4.6% from 9.1% in 2010, which was a record since Ukraine received independence in 1991.
The government expected inflation this year to speed up to 7.9%. This figure forms the basis of the state budget for this year.
