Norway protected against a food crisis

The prices of corn, wheat and grain feed are record-high on the international markets, but food prices in Norway will most likely not be affected.
Although food prices abroad are on the rise, they are unlikely to go up in Norway due to regulations in Norwegian agriculture.
The government has lowered the customs duty on protein and grain feed products from abroad, in order to protect Norwegian farmers against a price increase abroad.
As a result, Norwegians will probably not notice much of what many people predict might become an international food crisis.
