Ukraine threshes 23 million tons of grain

Ukrainian agrarian workers have already threshed 23 million tons of grain.
The press service of the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry informs.
"This year, the gathered yield will not be lower against the average yield over five recent years. As of July 31, agricultural producers threshed 23 million tons of early grain crops and leguminous cultures," the statement reads.
As Agrarian Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk said, the harvesting campaign nears its completion in the forest-steppe and Polissia zones, and in the steppes grain harvesting was completed.
"Most grain was threshed in Vinnytsia region - about 1.9 million tons, Kharkiv region - about 1.7 million tons and in Odesa region - 1.5 million tons. The highest crop capacity of early grain crops was fixed in Kyiv and Khmelnytsky regions - 41 centners/ha. We do not change our forecasts and expect the yield at over 45 million tons of grain," Prysiazhniuk said.
According to him, this marketing year, grain supply on the market will make up about 57.4 million tons. "With taking into consideration carry over stocks, grain supply on the market will be about 57.7 million tons with internal supply at the level of 28.4 million tons," the Minister noted.
