6.91 million have received land ownership certificates

As of January 24, 2011, a total of 99% of certificates confirming the right to land ownership had been issued in Ukraine (in all 6.91 million people.), the State Agency of Land Resources says.
"All who expressed the desire to change the certificate received state acts on the ownership of a land plot," said Oleksandr Krasnolutsky, director of the department of land.
Thus, according to land authorities, 4.6 million agricultural land lease agreements have been concluded in Ukraine as a whole, the total payout on which is more than 5.27 million UAH (1 USD - 7.94 UAH). Over the past year, 4.94 million UAH, or 93.85% of the total amount, had actually been paid.
At the same time, last year surveyors conducted an inventory of land on a total area of 215,480 hectares, of which 83,570 hectares are settlement land and 131,910 hectares non-agricultural land outside settlements.
Land authorities have made it mandatory for territorial authorities to intensify the search for additional sources of funding works on inventory of settlement land and non-agricultural land outside settlements, division of state and municipal property land, establishing and changing the boundaries of settlements.
Subject to delimitation in Ukraine is over 29.24 million hectares of land. Last year, 71 decisions were passed on delimitation of state-owned and municipal land on 69,530 hectares.
