Ukraine’s government plans to issue 5 billion UAH of government bonds and give the money to the Agrarian Fund to pay for agricultural commodity purchases. The fund will transfer the commodities to Zerno Ukrainy at cost who will then sell the goods for a profit to other governments, with the profit going to the private shareholders of Zerno Ukrainy trading company KhlibInvest Byd. At the same time farmers will lose money as the competitive market dries up and consumer food prices will continue rising.
