UAIndex is on the rise for the 5th consecutive trading session

UAIndex closed the day with 0.14% increase of capitalization, concluding 5 days of instant growth. Majority of Ukrainian agro holdings reported favorable H1 2012 due to growing prices on agricultural products. They were also able to raise total of USD 574.86 M over the first six months of the year, actively investing in modernization and growth. Despite weak position of EURO currency this week, positive performance of global indices contributed to market capitalization growth of the holdings. Best performing company today was Alpcot Agro (ALPA) with 12.15% capitalization gain.
AgroInvest comment: Despite stagnant sales volumes, companies were able to increase revenues due to higher prices, which was enough of a positive sign for foreign investors.
