Trading volume on Ukrainian Exchange grows by 787% in 2010

Total trading volume on the Ukrainian Exchange grew by 787% in 2010 year-on-year, to UAH 27.426 billion (UAH 7.94 / USD 1), and the total number of transactions rose by 683%, to 990,377.
Trading volume on the stock market of the Ukrainian Exchange grew by 671% in 2010, to UAH 23.832 billion, while the total number of transactions rose by 562%, to 836,840.
Trading volume on the futures market over the first eight months since its launch amounted to UAH 3.594 billion, or 1.778 million contracts, while the number of transactions totaled 153,537.
The government bond market saw 83 transactions worth UAH 243.631 million, the corporate bond market - 162 transactions worth UAH 478.806 million, and the market of investment certificates - 200 transactions worth UAH 25.936 million.
In 2010, the UX index calculated by the Ukrainian Exchange grew by 67.9%, to 2,443.70 points.
