The Ministry of Agriculture discusses the abolition of subsidies on grain exports, Tengrinews.kz transfers.
According to the JSC "KazAgroMarketing", the purchase price in the domestic market for wheat of third class amounted to 155 U.S. dollars per 1 tonne 3 in early July of this year against $124 in January.
All this contributes to increased demand for Kazakh grain, also it increases its competitiveness in the markets. Thus, no further subsidizing of transport costs for exporting grain is needed. In this regard, the Ministry of Agriculture will review and discuss the elimination of export subsidies from August 1, this year," the ministry said.
As for the future harvest, 36.5 percent of the grain crops are in good condition, in satisfactory - 53.7 percent (8.5 million hectares), in poor condition - about 10 percent of the crop and 0.4 percent is subject to cancellation. Total acreage of grain crops, taking into account the harvest of winter crops this year, is 16.2 million hectares.
As noted, the gross grain harvest this year is projected at 14 million tonnes, an average yield - 8.7 tons per hectare in connection with dry weather.
