Ukrlandfarming (Avangard) increases production volumes of milk

According to the official press release company increased milk production volume by 13.5% as company has the largest cow herd in Ukraine, including 68 thousands of cows, of which 44 thousand are used for production of meat and other 24 thousand are used for milk production. Despite the overall tendency in Ukraine leaning towards reduction of meat and milk production, company strives to increase both. Also, milk production increased to 83.2 M liters of milk in 2012 compared to 75.2 M during the same period of 2011. Company plans to increase number of cows by 1.5 K in 2012 as well as investing funds towards modernization of equipment, increasing quality of milk and effectiveness of operations.
AgroInvest comment: Milk production of considered more profitable than straight meat production in terms of faster return on investment. Considering pervious success of the company and growing demand for milk and milk products on national and foreign markets, long-term strategy of the company will most likely be successful.
