Latvian inflation slows for tenth month

Latvia's annual inflation slowed for the tenth consecutive month in June, data released by Statistics Latvia showed Monday.
Inflation slowed to 1.9 percent in June from 2.2 percent in May, marking the tench successive monthly slowdown.
Food prices advanced 1.7 percent annually during the month, while clothing and footwear prices decreased 1.7 percent. Housing costs and utility prices were higher by 5.6 percent compared to a year earlier, and transportation costlier by 1.6 percent, data showed.
Month-on-month, consumer prices edged down 0.1 percent in June, after falling 0.2 percent in the previous month.
