Belarus Ministry of Economy expects to hold inflation rate within 20% in 2012

During the first half of 2012 the inflation rate in Belarus will be about 10%, and for the year, taking into account relevant government policies and activities, it should not exceed the 20% level.
Xinhua has announced that this year, the inflation rate in Belarus will be constrained to within 20%. According to statistics, last month’s inflation rate in Belarus totaled 1.5%. Thus, the consumer price index for goods and services compared to December last year rose by 8.5%.
