Ukraine. Statistics office says GDP growth to be over 2% in Q2/2012

Ukraine's GDP growth in the second quarter 2012 is expected at above 2%, head of the State Statistics Service Oleksandr Osaulenko told the press.
"In the first quarter GDP growth stood at 2%. There is every reason to expect that in the second quarter the growth will be more than 2%," Osaulenko noted.
He also recalled that in the five months of 2012 the growth in all sectors of the economy is recorded. "This May the improvement in industry, construction and transport was recorded. Construction output rose by 0.3% for the first time since the beginning of the year. In agriculture, the growth rate made 101.5%, and in April was 101.1%. Other words - the rate has improved," Osaulenko noted.
"Hopefully, these symptoms of intensification and economic recovery will reinforce and gain the nature of stable economic growth," he added.
