World organizations should unite to create a world grain reserve. This will neutralize the price jumps in food markets. This was stated by Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysiazhniuk at the international agro-industrial exhibition Green Week in Berlin, the press service of the ministry reported.

Such an initiative, he said, should lead to implementation of the idea of a world grain reserve. This way it is possible to accumulate the necessary reserves of bread for all countries, as well as relieve stresses arising from the threat of an impending global food crisis.

At this stage, according to Prysiazhniuk, it is necessary to make as much effort as possible to avoid price fluctuations. This requires the creation of special structures, access to constantly updated information on the volumes of production and consumption of cereals, as well as establishment of a reserve bank for agricultural crops, the Ukrainian minister summed up.
