Less than 62 billion euros will be needed for the recapitalization of Spanish banks, Spain’s Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy said, speaking at the Hispanic Business Association.
At the same time, Rajoy said that Spain had plans to get a credit line with a reserve, aiming to “have finances for unpredictable situations”.
On June 25th official Madrid sent a letter to the Eurogroup with a request to offer it financial aid for the recapitalization of Spanish banks.
According to the survey done by independent audit companies, from 51 to 62 billion euros will be needed for these purposes.
