Russia’s May foreign trade surplus up 1.3%

Russia’s foreign trade surplus in May 2012 grew 1.3 percent year-on-year to $15.6 billion, the Economic Development Ministry said in its monitoring report on Monday.
In May 2011, Russia’s foreign trade surplus was $15.4 billion, with $43.6 billion worth of exports and $28.2 billion worth of imports.
Russia’s foreign trade turnover grew by 9.1 percent year-on-year to $352.6 billion from January to May 2012, with a trade surplus of $95.2 billion.
