Inner turnover of Customs Union increases by 17% in first quarter of 2012

Inner turnover of the Customs Union in the first quarter of 2012 increased by 17% or by 16.32 billion dollars, Minister of Commerce, board member of Eurasian Economic Commission for Europe Andrei Slepnev said, agency Novosti-Kazakhstan reported.
According to him, the volume of mutual trade in goods with a high degree of processing greatly increased. At the same time, there are a number of positions, which repeatedly increased exports from Kazakhstan to Russia, for example, shoes 232 times - up to 1.6 million couples in the first quarter of this year from 6.8 thousand pairs, as well as computers 31 times - up to 356.7 from 11.4 a thousand pieces.
As noted by Slepnev, the commission will now analyze this situation in order to understand the reason for the growth of supply.
According to Slepnev, foreign trade turnover of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan in the first quarter increased by 18.1% over the same period in 2011 and reached 223.2 billion dollars. The exports grew by 20.9%, imports - by 12.7%. The foreign trade balance of the Customs Union was 77 billion dollars, 17.7 billion more than the same period last year.
