Ukraine, Georgia seek to reach $1bn goods turnover in 2012

The goods turnover between Ukraine and Georgia in 2012 is to achieve the target of USD 1 billion, the foreign ministers of Ukraine and Georgia, Kostiantyn Hryshchenko and Grigol Vashadze, told reporters on Friday in Kyiv.
"Our trade and economic ties are developing actively. We expect that the bilateral trade this year will be close to the mark of one billion dollars," the Ukrainian minister said.
These words of Hryshchenko have been confirmed by his Georgian counterpart, who said that Ukraine is one of the leaders in the foreign trade turnover of Georgia.
"Ukraine is one of the leaders in terms of our foreign trade. We hope that this position of Ukraine will continue. In fact, we plan to exceed one billion dollars this year," Vashadze emphasized.
