Russia seeks foreign investment for soil improvement

Russia intends to attract foreign investment in soil improvement to fight drought conditions similar to last year's abnormal summer weather conditions which wiped out a third of the country's crops, Agriculture Minister Yelena Skrynnik said on Friday.
"It is necessary to improve soil to prevent consequences of drought we faced in 2010," Skrynnik told an opening of Russia's pavilion at the International Green Week exhibition.
