Since the beginning of the current year (MY, July 2011 - June 2012) and as of June 5, 2012, Ukraine exported 20.26 million tons of grain cultures, which is almost twofold up against the same period of the previous marketing year.

According to materials of the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry of Ukraine, in particular, as of June 5, export of corn grew 2.8 fold to 12.7 million tons, wheat - by 51% to 4.97 million tons (out of these, 2.95 million tons of milling wheat, 2 million tons of feed wheat). At the same time, barley export reduced by 2.5% tо 2.4 million tons, UKRINFORM reports.

"Over five days of June, Ukraine exported 0.43 million tons of grain, including 0.29 million tons of corn, 0.13 million tons of wheat and 6.5 million tons of barley.

In May, export of Ukrainian grain made up 1.84 million tons. In particular, last month, Ukraine exported 1.33 million tons of corn, 0.42 million tons of wheat (0.3 million tons of milling wheat and 0.12 million tons of feed wheat), as well as 95,600 tons of barley," the agency informs.

As specialists note, export of oil-bearing cultures since the beginning of the current marketing year and as of June 5 reduced by 5% against indexes for the same date of the previous marketing year to 2.22 million tons. Including, export of rape fell by 18.6% tо 1.12 million tons, whereas soya - increased by 14.5% tо 1.1 million tons. Export of sunflower seed oil made up 192,000 tons, whereas it made up 404,300 tons for the designated date in the previous marketing year.

To remind, the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry expects grain export from Ukraine at the level of 22-23 million tons in the current marketing year.
