Kazakhstan has an opportunity to become a hub for trade and, definitely for financing in Eurasia, Jacob Frenkel, the Chairman of "JPMorgan Chase International" said in an exclusive interview for PM.kz site.
"The Government’s commitment to progress in the economic sphere is very impressive. Kazakhstan has a significant potential, it is located optimally in the geopolitical sphere. It is a real opportunity to become a hub for trade and, definitely for financing in Eurasia," Jacob Frenkel said.
He also noted that the country’s economy demonstrated rapid growth.
Besides, J.Frenkel shared his view on the global economic situation. "If you come from Europe your view is indeed not optimistic in the sense that there is a long-standing crisis and the solution is still not in hand. You have on the one hand side Germany with very low unemployment rate, with very large surplus in the bounds of payments. On the other hand you have countries like Greece which is growing negatively and Spain that has unemployment rate over 20%," he said.
"The growth in the USA will be positive around 2% - nothing to celebrate, but, clearly, not another recession. Other parts of the world are very positive. Asia continues to grow. China and India will continue to grow," the Chairman of "JPMorgan Chase International" resumed.
