CROP BASED ETP’S LOST FUNDS IN 2010

In the first half of 2010 investors were pulling money out of agricultural commodity based exchange traded products, but once the news of Russia’s drought and Chinese imports began to dominate investors returned. The big winners were metals ETPs, according to Societe Generale. In all the investment advisory arm said that over 2010 commodity ETPs grew by $23 billion, while agricultural ETPs saw a recovery in the second half they actually saw an outflow of $500 million.
