Kazakhstan and Turkey seal cooperation agreements worth of $1 bl

During the visit of Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Astana, Turkish and Kazakh entrepreneurs has signed agreements totaling $969.5 million in value, the Kazakh National Agency for Export and Investments "Kaznex Invest" says in a press release.
Kazakhstan's company Kazakhstan Engineering and Turkey's company Kazakhstan Aselsan Engineering LLP signed a $30 million agreement on expansion of strategic cooperation, Kaznex Invest and Enkim concluded a memorandum of cooperation in a $250 project for soda ash production, Kaznex Invest and Konya Seker sealed a memorandum of cooperation in a $300 million project for sugar and sugar beat production.
All agreements were signed Wednesday in Astana in the presence of the Kazakh and Turkish prime ministers at a Kazakh-Turkish business forum.
About ten other agreements were concluded the same day, including a $250 million project for construction of an ammonia and carbide fertilizer plant together with Turkuaz, a memorandum of cooperation in a $100 million project for construction of logistic facilities for grain transportation and storage and construction of a terminal at the Aktau seaport with Turkey's company Tiryaki.
