GDP growth in Kazakhstan is expected to reach 7% in 2012, President Nursultan Nazarbaev said speaking at the V Astana Economic Forum on Wednesday, Novosti-Kazakhstan agency reported.
The Government and National Bank of Kazakhstan forecast GDP at the level of 6-7% this year in their joint statement in February this year. According to the IMF, the growth of the economy occurred by 6%. International rating agency "Fitch Ratings" forecast Kazakhstan's economy ito grow by 5% or more in 2012.
According to the official figures, GDP growth was 7.5% in 2011.
