The state budget foresees that in 2012 the Ukrainian agricultural sector will receive UAH 6.4 billion as state support. Budget revenues from agricultural producers in 2012 are projected at UAH 44.9 billion, which is 10.7% more than in 2011, the Ukrainian Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry has reported.

"The main spheres of expenditures are the social sphere of the villages, as well as the development of agricultural education and science. Thus, money from the general fund of the state budget will be channeled to support the social sphere - UAH 16 million, agricultural education - UAH 1.977 billion, and agricultural science - UAH 140.1 million," the ministry's press service reported.

In total, the state budget for 2012 foresees expenditures for agriculture at UAH 18.1 billion, including UAH 6.4 billion from the general fund and UAH 11.7 billion from the special fund.

Support for agriculture is mainly carried out from the special fund of the state budget. Although its amount was approved by the state budget, support is being provided within actual revenues.
