KSG Agro will increase grain storage capacities by 26.7%

KSG Agro announced that the company is planning to increase grain storage capacity in Ukraine by 26.7% up to the level of 76 thousand tons in 2012. According to the company’s statement it is planning to harvest up to 232.25K tons of grains in 2012 which is 2.2 times more than 2011 levels. According to the latest forecasts of the company sunflower harvest will increase by 22% up to 62.67K tons, wheat will increase by 2.7 times up to the level of 97.49K tons, barley levels will increase twice up to the level of 11.1K tons and corn harvest is expected at 6.4K tons, 4.3 times higher than the levels of the previous year.
Company also stated that arable land will be increased to 80K hectares and land bank will be increased to 110K hectares. In the long term the land bank of the company will rise to the level of 200K hectares by 2015.
AgroInvest comment: Just as we expected the most recent loan received from Global Emerging Markets Investment Fund will be used to broaden company’s operations and increase its capabilities. Adding storage facilities is an exceptionally progressive move considering logistic issues that currently remain in agricultural sector of Ukraine.
