The state budget provides that in 2012 the agricultural sector will receive 6.4 billion UAH of government support. At the same time, the forecast revenues from agricultural producers are 44.9 billion UAH, up by 10.7% compared with 2011, the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine reported.

"In total, the state budget for the current year provides for expenditure in the amount of 18.1 billion UAH, including only 6.4 billion UAH from the general fund and 11.7 billion UAH from the special fund. Major items of the expenditure are the social sphere of the countryside, the development of agricultural education and science. Thus, the general fund assets will be channeled to support: the social sphere of the countryside - 16 million UAH, agricultural education - 1,976.5 million UAH, agricultural science - 140.1 million UAH. Under the major programs of support for the development of agro-industries, it is provided to earmark from the general fund 1,397.4 billion UAH (224 million UAH less compared to the year 2011)," the press service of the ministry explained.

Agriculture ministry experts also noted that support for the development of the agro-industrial complex is mainly provided by means of the special fund of the state budget. Although the amount of the special fund is approved by the state budget, the support is provided only within the actual revenue.

Special fund is used to provide support for the following major budget programs: planting orchards, vineyards and berry fields - 1,075 million UAH, state support for the livestock industry - 732 million UAH, the formation of a public intervention fund by the Agrarian Fund, as well as the purchase of material and technical resources for the needs of agricultural producers - 7.2 billion UAH, of which 5 billion UAH is refundable, the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine summarized.
