Hungary Trade Surplus Rises For Second Month

Hungary's trade surplus increased for the second consecutive month in February, final data released by the Hungarian Central Statistical Office revealed Thursday.
The trade surplus for February was revised up to EUR 691.2 million from EUR 690.1 million estimated earlier. In January, the country had a trade surplus of EUR 419 million. A year ago, the excess was EUR 860.2 million.
For the January-February period, Hungary logged a trade surplus of EUR 1.110 billion compared with EUR 1.292 billion a year ago. Exports increased 0.5 percent, while imports grew 2.1 percent.
