Agriculture is of a great interest to investors, as a small investment can produce significant returns, Executive Director at The Bleyzer Foundation Oleg Ustenko told a press conference in Kyiv.

"I think that agriculture is of a great interest to investors. It has a number of advantages: land, relatively developed infrastructure and relatively skilled labor in a total absence of normal technology," the expert said.

According to him, small investment can produce significant returns. "Given that we have yields 2.5 times less than in Europe, the potential is huge," Ustenko said.

In turn, financial analyst Erik Naiman noted that food production rather than agriculture is a priority.

"We should sell not grain but freeze-dried food and go to a greater degree of processing. Ukraine is now a raw materials appendage of the big U.S. grain traders, even though it can process most of the food on her own," the expert said.

Experts also listed power industry and IT-technologies among the investment-attractive resources.
