KazTransGas plans to organize people’s IPO in 4th quarter, 2013

The KazTransGas JSC has been established in 2000 to organize the work of the oil and gas industry. The company provides corporate management of assets in the exploration, production, transportation and distribution of gas.
The CEO of the KazTransGas Company, Nurbol Sultan has said to KazTAG that the company plans to hold a people’s IPO in the 4th quarter of 2013. This summer the structure is intended to begin work on preparing for an IPO among the population. The people’s IPO is designed before 2015 and provides for a phased withdrawal of the stock market shares of the largest and most stable state companies. The first of such a company as KazTransOil will organize the IPO, and then in 2013 it will be KEGOC, Air Astana, Kazmortransflot, Samruk-Energy, and KTG. In 2014-2015 IPOs will happen for Kazakhstan Railways, Kaztemirtrans, Kazatomprom, and KazMunaiGas companies. The people’s IPO provides the right to buy shares only to citizens of Kazakhstan, as well as representing their interests by Kazakhstan accumulative pension funds.
