The press service of the Eurasian Development Bank has announced that if prices for oil remain at the level of 115 US dollars per barrel, the economy of the Commonwealth of Independent States will grow by about 5% in 2012. Analysts of the bank noted considerable net outflow in 2011, an increase in the currency reserves of the central banks by 33 billion US dollars and an increase in lending in the national currency in Russia by 25% and in Kazakhstan by 21.5%. Moreover, the CIS experienced an inflation load. In this case, the lowest increase in prices occurred in Armenia and Ukraine. The EDB is the international financial institution founded by Russia and Kazakhstan in 2006 for favouring the development of the market economies of the CIS member states. The charter capital of the bank exceeds 1.5 billion US dollars. The list of member states includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
