Hlib Investbud, which is a trade-export subdivision of the State Food Grain Corporation of Ukraine, by results of nine months of this marketing year (MY, July-June) exported 2.5 million tons of grain and compensating products, the company press service told UKRINFORM.

“Grain export makes up almost one sixth part (16.2%) of total volume of grain export from Ukraine, which, according to the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry, as of April 1, 2012, reaches 15.4 million tons,” company CEO Robert Brovdi has said.

According to him, supply of Ukrainian grain was carried out to 22 countries of the Mediterranean region, Africa, the Middle East, South and South-East Asia.

Consolidated turnover of Hlib Investbud trade and export activities by results of 2011/2012 MY will make up 4.2 million tons, including 0.87 million tons of bread grain, acquired through forward purchases to the Agrarian Fund and close to 0.1 million tons, purchased for processing into finished goods (flour, cereals, boltings, compound animal feedstuff). Including, for export by results of a season the company intends to supply more than 3.2 million tons of grain and compensating products.

In particular, the company has already supplied almost 0.8 million tons of corn to foreign markets and 0.6 million tons of fodder wheat, as well as exported close to 20,000 tons of compensating products.
