Kazakh National Bank reduces refinancing rate to 6.5%

The National Bank of Kazakhstan lowered the official refinancing rate to 6.5% per annum on April 2, the organization’s press service reported. «Given the trends in the financial market and the slowdown in the annual inflation rate, the board of the National Bank of Kazakhstan decided to set the official refinancing rate at a record low level», according to the statement. The last change in the official refinancing rate was made on February 14, 2012, when it was lowered to 7% from 7.5% per annum.
