Trade between Ukraine, Customs Union reaches $65 bln - Khristenko

The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) sees Ukraine as the biggest trading partner of the Customs Union, EEC Chairman Viktor Khristenko said at a meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov on Monday, according to the Ukrainian government's spokesperson.
"Ukraine is the biggest trading partner of the Customs Union," he said, adding that trade between Ukraine and the CU in 2011 reached $65 billion. This figure is equivalent to the internal trade between the Customs Union countries, he said.
"We could give a significant impetus to step up our mutual trade. The $65 billion is an indicator equivalent to total trade between the Customs Union countries," the EEC chairman said.
