Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has held a working meeting with his deputy Viktor Zubkov, who supervises agricultural matters in the government. This year, Russia has exported 27 million tons of grain. Thus, after a short break, the country has returned to become one of the world’s largest grain exporters. Russia follows only the United States and Canada in terms of supplying the global market. For example, the United States exported 36 million tons of wheat last year. This year, the Russian grain growers are planning to harvest 94 million tons of grain, according to RIA Novosti.
