Agreement on CIS free trade area not yet submitted to Verkhovna Rada

An agreement on the creation of a free trade area with CIS countries has not yet been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, the leader of the Regions Party faction in parliament, Oleksandr Yefremov, has said.
"The parliament does not currently have the agreement on the free trade area. When we see it, then we will announce the point of view of our faction concerning the vote [on this document]," he said.
Yefremov said that the document was currently undergoing examination at the Presidential Administration.
"We respect our colleagues in the Russian Federation, but until we see the document, it is impossible to talk about any ratification," he said.
As UKRINFORM reported, on October 18, 2011, eight countries, in particular, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Ukraine, signed an agreement on the creation of a free trade area with CIS countries.
