Foreign investors mostly interested in oil and gas, agrarian sectors in Ukraine - experts

The most interesting for foreign investors in Ukraine are the oil and gas and agricultural sectors, Director of the Institute for Global Economic and Energy Strategy of Ukraine Yuriy Nerubai told a press conference.
He added that "it is worth noting tourism and the services sphere, as well as small business that covers a great number of sectors, but do not need capital investments." "Now, our main task is to show a systemic character and security of investments in Ukraine," Nerubai underscored.
Managing partner of the international legal company B.C. Toms Bate Toms also noted a growing interest to attraction of investments to Ukraine, in particular, to oil and gas spheres, as well as agriculture that interests investors much, since according to him Ukraine has almost the richest land in the world.
Bate Toms emphasized that Ukraine's geographical location is extremely advantageous for investors that is attractive from the viewpoint of location of production centers with the following export to European and Middle East countries.
The B.C. Toms representative noted positive changes in the country's legislation, favorable for investments. He said that Ukraine is opened for business and investors clearly feel this. He also said that presently stabilization of the legal regime has been observed, reduction of bureaucratic procedures and the main thing - political stability in the country.
He underscored that earlier in Ukraine it was necessary to have a number of licenses and special permits for carrying out activities in the oil and gas sector. Presently, it is abolished for daughter enterprises that are acting in the sphere of oil and gas, which is very favorable for prompt investing.
