The crisis in Europe can lead to a growth of imports to Ukraine, since it will become cheaper for the dollarized economy of the country. However, it will not considerably affect the Ukrainian economy as a whole, since it mainly depends on the countries, where the U.S. dollar is the main currency of settlements.

This opinion was expressed by analyst of JSC Erste Bank Marian Zablotsky commenting on possibility of refusal of a number of countries from using the euro and on the affect of the European crisis on the Ukrainian economy.

"Losses of banks and economies of the European countries from hypothetic abolishment of the euro considerably exceed all the expenses related to saving separate countries... At the worst, we can speak about a considerable issue of the euro that will undoubtedly weaken the European currency rate," he noted.

According to Head of the information-analytical center Forex Club in Ukraine Mykola Ivchenko, still it is early to speak about the possible collapse of the euro zone. "Processes are underway on the purchase of Eurobonds of Spain, Portugal by China... The European central bank purchases Eurobonds of the euro zone. There are the forces that support the euro," he believes.
