CU foreign trade volume grew by 33% to $913 billion in 2011

In terms of exports, 55% accounted for the European Union countries, 8.9% for China and 8.6% for the CIS. The volume of foreign trade of the Customs Union grew by 33% in 2011 to 913 billion US dollars, Interfax reported citing the Trade Minister of the Eurasian Economic Commission Andrei Slepnev. Exports totaled 586 billion US dollars while imports reached 326 billion US dollars. Contributions of the three countries were as follows: Russia had 83.6%, Kazakhstan - 11.4%, and Belarus - 5%.
